Hello Audrey -

It’s been awhile since my last email.

  • I’ve been busy with volunteer work for a couple of wonderful organizations
  • I took a story-telling class (yes it’s a thing - look up the Moth.org featured on NPR to get an idea).  I even presented one of my stories in April at the monthly Homewood Stories series (for May details click here)
  • I’ve been focused on doing meaningful things for the people I love.   My mom and daughter had milestone birthdays and I threw a big party for them.
  • I also needed some “me time” to recharge after going to 3 funerals and learning of a death on the same date as my Dad’s death.

Mental Fitness

But I’m back now and ready to move forward.  Especially this month.  It’s Mental Health Awareness month.  Collectively we’ve gone through some major things - CoVid, inflation, global warming weather events, increased violence and polarizing politics.  Ugh!

There is no time like the present to get our mental game in order.  But rather than use the term Mental Health, I prefer to think of it as Mental Fitness.  And when we do that, we make a difference to ourselves and to the collective.

Think of mental fitness as going to the gym for your mind.   We can all improve our mental outlook when we know what exercises to do.  We will be on the lookout for when we have sabotaging thoughts and know when we are stepping into our wise sage selves.

If you want to know more about this Mental Fitness program, I want to invite you to take a Saboteur Assessment   It’s free and will give you a peek into what is tripping you up.  I am happy to have a further discussion of what the assessment means and what the mental fitness program involves.  The program  is based on scientifically validate research done with over 500,000 people.  I use it daily and have seen a shift - even more than I expected so I became a coach in it.  I highly recommend it.

Upcoming Event

Many of you know I am all about holistic health.  Holistic health allows you to get to the root cause and which makes for powerful healing.   I focus on the mental game and have partnered with Tracy Burkdoll for the physical game.  She is a talented Nurse Practitioner who now works in alternative health after healing herself.  Together we are presenting solutions for stress.  This is a free event on June 5 and the details are below.

I hope to see you there or connect with you soon.  Make it a wonderful weekend and don't forget to spoil all the mothers in your life!
